ABOUT US
Cornell Alternative Investments (CAI) is a pre-professional student-run organization at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Our mission is to serve as a bridge between exceptional students and leading firms across the financial services industry. Every semester, members of our organization have the opportunity to work with leading investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and hedge funds in order to gain exposure to the industries in which they are interested.
OUR PILLARS
EDUCATE
New members are expected to participate in a rigorous 10-week education series focused on preparing to enter the financial services industry. Our new member education program provides mentorship in professional development, interview preparation, as well as technical skills like valuation and financial modeling.
APPLY
Each semester, members are placed on project teams and work together with their peers to complete deliverables for leading firms across the financial services industry. To date, our project teams have performed due diligence, built out LBO models, pitched investments, and worked on live deals.
CONNECT
Through working on project teams and participating in coffee chats, members build meaningful relationships with industry professionals who offer support and mentorship. CAI alumni have gone on to work at industry-leading firms and frequently serve as informal mentors for current members.
